Microsoft Outlook Express Configuration

The following information can be used to configure Microsoft Outlook 2000 and Outlook Express 5.x-6.x. If you have not already established a CableAmerica e-mail account please contact Help Desk at 1.866.871.4492 to create an account.

1. Open Outlook or Outlook Express

  • Click on Tools
  • Select Accounts

2. From the Internet Accounts window click on the Mail tab.

  • Click on Add.
  • Select Mail

3. Your Name.

  • Enter your display name, this is the name that will appear when you send email.
  • Click Next

4. Internet E-mail Address Information.

  • Enter your CableAmerica email address (lowercase characters)
  • Click Next

5. Email Server Information.

  • My Incoming Mail Server is a POP3 server
  • Enter the Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.cablemo.net
  • Enter the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.cablemo.net
  • Click Next

6. Internet Mail Logon Information

  • Enter your Account Name, this is your email username (lowercase characters)
  • Enter your Email Password, if you can not remember the password please contact Technical Support to have it reset.
  • Log on using Secure Password Authentication should be left unchecked.
  • Click Next

7. Congratulations, Your Email Configuration is Complete

Fraudulent Email Notification

We have noticed an increase in fraudulent "phishing" emails sent to CableAmerica email users asking for personal information or containing directions to click on a link provided in the email.  These emails are fraudulent and not sent from CableAmerica.  Please delete the email from your inbox.  For more information click here.
