Instructions to Reset Motorola 100U DTA (Digital Converter)
If you do not have a digital converter box provided by CableAmerica (pictured above) but have a digital television please consult the user manual for your television and start a channel scan to reload your cable channels.
Please follow these instructions to reset your Digital Converter. If Fix 1 does not work please try Fix 2. If you have more than one digital converter please follow the instructions to reset all converters before submitting the form below.
Fix 1
- Turn on your television
- Using the remote for your digital converter turn to Channel 28.
- Leave the TV tuned to Channel 28 for at least 15 minutes. The screen should turn dark.
- After 15 minutes press the UP button on the remote control and your TV channels should start to load.
Fix 2
- Turn on your television
- Locate the Info button on the DTA remote control
- Press and hold the Info button until a Diagnostic Screen appears
- As soon as the Diagnostic Screen appears enter the code 1379 using your remote control (this needs to happen within 3-4 seconds of the Diagnostic Screen appearing)
- If the code was accepted the digital converter box will reset
- If the box does not reset repeat steps 3 and 4
- After the box resets it will start scanning for channels
- Once the channel scan reaches 15-17% you will see the following error message (pictured below): We’ve detected a problem activating your service. Please check the connections and if the problem is not resolved please contact your Cable Provider to restore service. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
- Once you receive the error message please leave your television on that screen and call 1.866.871.4492 and a representative will initialize your digital cable box. Once re-initialized your cable channels will appear on your television.
